So this is the deal:
I dyed my hair black around November and i am trying to get blonde hair so I can get a fantasy color.
My question is can i use color oops and then bleach it the same day? Or should I do the color oops and wait the next day to bleach it? I know color oops is ammonia/bleach free. But I'm not sure if it'll still cause damage because my hair pores will be open and how long I should leave the bleach in my hair because of the open pores; should I leave it in less time? Can someone help me please and thank you.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND STRIPPING HAIR DYES OFF YOUR HAIR.

Here's an example what hair stripng will do to your hair.

It is worst than hair dyes, one from YA! "I accidentally dyed my hair this awful black, stripped it, and now it is this crunchy crispy mess!"

Hair striprs are chemical treatments which are intended to strip out artificial color pigment with less risk or damage to the hair. The chemicals used are called reducing agents.

Certain 'metal' striprs containing sodium sulphoites are sold for reducing hair dyed with metallic dyes, as these dyes react violently with tint stripper containing hydrogen peroxide-the subsequent reaction may cause so much heat that the hair gets dissolved.

Example: So i just put Colour B4 on my hair to try and remove my black dye so my hair it's natural colour which is dark blonde. so i've just dried my hair and there's still dark patches on it. and in some places it's gone ginger. i have garnier pre lightener. should i use it? there's no way my hair could look worse than it is now lol.

Bad Hair Habit: Stripng Out Hair Dye

Smart hair care includes what not to do. If you have a change of heart after you dye your hair a dark shade, stripng out the color will open the cuticle so much that it won't lie as flat as before, says Kim Steckbeck, master stylist at Studio 21 hair salon in Woodstock, Ga. The result is hair damage with dry, brittle, frizzy tresses. "Black is the hardest to remove," she says. "It typically must be done with bleach. This leaves unwanted tones in the hair. Then, you must recolor to a desirable shade. This is very stressful on the hair."

You can do one of two things, to remove most of that dye.

1. By using Tide detergent with shampoo

Google "How to Remove Dye from Hair"

or

2. By shampooing you hair mix with a bit of Dawn.

Google "How to Use Dawn Dishwashing Liquid for Lightening Hair."

You can also use anti-dandruff shampoo, just not the conditioner.

Chemicals can enter the body through the skin.

> > > Hair dye chemicals linked to cancer

London, Feb 20, 2013 I've been saying that since 2009.

Hair dyes, which include home hair colouring kits and those used at pricey salons, are linked to deadly cancer-causing chemicals, warn scientists. In 2009 the Mail revealed that women who used hair dyes more than nine times a year had a 60% greater risk of contracting blood cancer.

A year later the European Commission banned 36 hair dyes which put long-term users at risk of bladder cancer. < < < <

Celebrity wears two-tone hair dye all the time, trying to grow out their dye. They call that the ombre style.

Color Oops is a stripper so it is intended to take any dye out of your hair. In my experience with this product it works best if you've only dyed the hair a few times( As in I had been dying my hair black for several months and constantly going over the tips not just my roots, so when I used color oops my tips where very dark still but the rest came out). If it does not come out the right color you can bleach it afterwards but Color Oops does process your hair a lot so give it some time to rest before doing any bleaching.

You have to bleach out the color first. I recommend Loreal hair stripper, it will leave your hair orange and ready for a new hair color. You can use Color Oops within 24 hours but after that, forget it. My hair was black. I colored it for Halloween in 2012 and had to strip the hell out of it. It did not take the first time, and had to buy a second box. Black, because it is the darkest, and has more harsh chemicals, is the hardest to pull out of your hair. Do not use Color OOPS and bleach it the same day.. That would be the worst thing you can do to your hair, too many chemicals within a short period of time will not only damage, and dry out your hair, it will fall out from being weak from constant use of chemicals. You need to give your hair a rest for at least 6-8 weeks. l suggest leave it be for now, or you may be miserable when you see the results that may not work.

DO NOT USE COLOR OOPS! It doesn't work and absolutely destroys your hair. I had a girl come into me that had used color oops on her hair and it was so fried and it didn't work at all! It took us months to fix all of the damage. If she had just come to me with black hair I could have lightened it out and then deposited her natural color over it in a few hours. Here are before and after pictures of what it did to her hair.

If you absolutely wont go to a salon, first I suggest a hair school (because they are a LOT less expensive than a salon), but if you have to do it at home just bleach your hair, no color oops!

The directions on Splat Color Oops says you can re-dye the same day. If you do this, use a LOT of conditioner.

I'd probably wait a couple of days, though, before lightening your hair.

I'm no expert, but I've dyed my hair plenty of times. I went to a salon that bleached my hair when they made my color lighter. I was HORRIFIED bc it wasn't what I wanted, so I came home and dyed my hair a dark brown. The same day. I'm pretty sure since color oops is like a toner or corrector right? I'm pretty sure that would be fine, and there wouldn't be a problem. When I dyed my hair twice, the end of my hair seemed a bit dead though, but you can just cut your hair and I have thin, super straight hair. But I think that would be fine.
