so i got highlights over the summer, and im not sure what they ued. i know it wasnt bleach but they put my hair in tin foil and brushed on some kind of coloring to make highlights. Sun-in says not to use it with color treated hair, and i wanted to know if it will have any kind of weird affect on my hair because of the highlights, like damaged or split ends or a weird color. and i know that sun in works with my hair because before the highlights it worked fine, made my hair much blonder, and didn't damage it. thanks!

SUN IN disaster

That depends if your hair is thinning and what other chemicals are on your hair and how are you styling your hair.

Hair lightening from the sun is drying to the hair, it also means they're discolored from sunburned. Add lemon juice to the formula, or any other methods, is the result for double dried & damaged hair.

When your hair had been foiled, and add another chemicals like Sun-in to your hair, specially if you have THIN hair, you're heading for much disaster. Sorry, but since 2009, I've responded many hair dye problems and many have experienced with hair falls from girls under 15.

I know hair. I have over 4 decades of hair know-how. I have silky, shiny, soft, smooth very healthy hair down to my knees. Previously damaged by perming & dyeing in the 80's & 90's. I've known people in their 30's whose hair stopped growing from ironing their hair in the 70's
