I had one micro feather extensions on my hair. Any time you clamp your hair to something - think hair accessories, there will be some thinning. I had mine for almost 5 months, and when I took it off, all the hair where the clamp was broke! Luckily, it was under neath all my hair. I knew that would happen, I've had 3 braids done from my trip in the Bahamas, kept that for 3 months and again, they were some shedding. This time, those tiny little hair extensions I got, ALL FELL OUT.

My advice, it's not the price, but if you're trying to grow hair, you've got thin or thinning hair, and you've been using HEAT & CHEMICALS (hair's worst enemies - reason why your hair stopped growing or slow very slowly), they will only make your hair thinner or hair falls. I also suggest that you don't keep them on for too long.

Cost for mine? $45. But I got them free, the salon were having a party! That's what I gave myself for my birthday.

May 22, 2011: Model and businesswoman Katie Price, who was formerly topless model Jordan, is demanding compensation from a top Los Angeles hair salon after she spent $17,000 on hair colourings and extensions that she claims were botched, leaving her hair so damaged it began falling out.

"Hair extensions can cause some damage to your real hair," says Placid Braganza, a design artiste. "Since they are attached using thermal heat, knotting, braiding or gluing, they can hamper hair roots or even break, split or burn hair strands if not done carefully," he adds.

Published 8-10-12: Even supermodels have bad hair days, but from the looks of this recent photo, Naomi Campbell appears to be dealing with something far worse.

A photo of the 42-year-old beauty vacationing in Ibiza earlier this week shows what appears to be a receding hairline.

Florida hair surgeon Dr. Alan Bauman, who has not treated Campbell, said the former supermodel appears to be suffering from traction alopecia — hair loss due to extensions.

“Extensions, weaves, anything artificial hanging on hair — no matter whether you attach it with glue, special magnets, tape — it’s going to cause damage over time,” Bauman told ABCNews.com. “And unless you give your hair a break from those extensions, it won’t rebound.”

Bonding: Bonding or gluing is a temporary weaving method and usually involves longer hair wefts.

Plus points: This method is quick to do.

Red flags: Hair extensions attached by this method do not last too long.

Clip-on hair extensions give you a change of look without damaging your natural hair. "They are easy and quick to apply; usually taking five to seven minutes," says beauty expert, Sylvia Chen. "Moreover, in case you're not very comfortable, you can immediately pull them out," she adds.

Red flags: These clip-on hair extensions need to be removed before you go to bed. You cannot sleep or swim with these. So you may not want to opt for them if you're planning to wear them on a daily basis; you'd have to follow the routine of attaching them every morning and removing them before sleeping. Moreover, they may also lead to hair breakage while removing the clips; some even tend to tangle and fall apart after a few days.

Traction alopecia is hair loss that occurs as a result of continuous pulling of the hair. Pulling may occur from hairstyles such as tight cornrows, plaits or braids with or without extensions, weaves, ponytails or even hair rollers or curlers. Natural hairstyles can also lead to traction alopecia as well. Long heavy locks and tightly coiled twists can lead to traction alopecia. The hair loss associated with traction alopecia typically occurs at the frontal hairline, at the temples or the area of the scalp above the ears. It may also occur at the posterior hairline.

I suggest with snaps, given that that you can take off if you lose interest. I've the Satin Strands, i invariably buy these given that don't want to risk purchasing others and now not be of fine first-class. These aren't high priced, they cost $ 80 in Sally however do not include pins, however it is very convenient to apply, I do myself, and if now not, you will see that snap shots on the internet. Not since do not have to wash day-to-day, does now not mean they will no longer tangle, they get tangled, i am not going to lie but it's not whatever to worry about simply carrying a small brush to sweep each once in a at the same time. They're very delicate, there are various shades, and comes with 5.9 toes of hair. I fairly advise it. It's all that I have to say, if you have any questions in view that I depart my msn due to the fact that i don't know how you can use this factor hahaha i hope this aid you :D P. S. Sorry they get i've any lack of grammar, i'm making use of the google translator ahahhaha. : D

I think blonde hair is sexiest, but brown hair can become really sexy too. Black hair is never sexy. It's just really uninteresting and boring and flatters few complexions. Blonde hair looks best with blue eyes.

I used to have Micro-bead extensions and oh God... worst mistake of my life. They're the WORST type of hair extensions!

They look and feel unnatural.

You can obviously see them.

If anyone touches your hair, they'll feel the beads of your extensions.

They fall out when you brush or run your fingers through your hair.

They take SEVERAL hours to put in.

They're impossible to hide.

When your roots grow out, the micro-beads look and feel ridiculous.

They get tangled up and matted in your hair.

THEY HURT! When your head lays against your pillow, you'll feel little beads being crushed into your scalp. IT'S PAINFUL. They gave me the BIGGEST headaches!!

They're a hassle to care for.

And finally, They DAMAGE YOUR NATURAL HAIR!

Micro-bead extensions RUINED MY HAIR!!!!!

When I got mine tooken out, my hair looked like a BIRD'S NEST. It took several painful hours to remove all the knots, tangles, and matts that the micro-beads left my hair with. My hair.. WAS RUINED. Several clumps of hair fell out.. I either had to painfully remove the knots and matts or cut off all my hair. My hair is too precious to me so I suffered threw that pain as my hair was being ripped from the micro-beads.

I will NEVER forget the pain, suffering, and misery I went through. For the Love of God, PLEASE DON'T GET MICRO-BEAD EXTENSIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY'RE AWFUL! JUST AWFUL.

I still wear hair extensions to this very day! I recommend a braid-less sew in with skin weft hair extensions!

It doesn't hurt.

It's simple.

Anyone who knows how to sew can do it for you.

It lays flat on your hair to give more of the illusion that the hair is growing out of your head.

It looks and feels natural.

You can shower and swim with it.

It doesn't fall out.

I HIGHLY recommend using "Skin weft extensions". They give the appearance of hair growing out of your scalp, rather than a sewn on hair piece. I wear them and they're WONDERFUL! They're seamless and completely undetectable! No one will know you're wearing extensions. Even YOU will barely notice you're wearing them! :)

Hope I helped! :) I'd HATE to see someone else go through what I went through with micro-bead extensions. I wouldn't wish that on my WORST enemy. God Bless ! - xoxo ♥

Is dependent on the person. I have jet black hair and it looks great on me, and I have buddies with blonde hair that looks excellent on them.
