RE:

Is possible to dye part of my hair with jello?

Ok I asked this before but I left out some details. I have very dark brown fine hair and I want to dye only a small part, not all my hair, pink:) I cannot bleach my hair. I only want it for a few days, which I know jello washes out in 1-2 days. Is it possible to dye the small part of my hair pink...

If you have dark hair, you must bleach it before you try to dye it with JELL-O. Follow the direction on the kit, and rinse the bleach out completely before you go any further.

2

Apply petroleum jelly along your hairline and around your ears and neck to prevent the JELL-O from staining your skin.

3

Pour the JELL-O powder out into the bowl or bowls. Add conditioner and mix until you get a thick, mayonnaise-like consistency.

Dyeing Your Hair

1

Drape the old towel across your shoulders and put on your gloves.

2

Apply the JELL-O/conditioner mix to your hair. You can dye your entire head in one color, or do streaks of different colors. To dye your entire head, slather the JELL-O dye over your hair until it is completely saturated. Then, cover your hair with plastic wrap, aluminum foil or a shower cap.

3

For streaks, separate out chunks of hair, paint them with JELL-O dye and wrap them in aluminum foil.

4

Leave the dye in for at least 1 hour. The longer you leave it in, the stronger the color will be. You can also lock in the color using heat. Simply wrap your hair in a towel and heat it with a blow dryer.

5

Rinse your hair thoroughly. The color should wash out in about 7 to 10 shampoos.

No, jello is a food. But there are semi permanent hair dyes in a bottle, I use them, and you don't have to bleach your hair:)

Your hair is too dark, take some lemon juice, and put it where you want the jell-o to go, and sit in the sun and it should lighten it a little.

Then dye it with kool aid, not jell-o.

you would need jello with high amounts of coloring, and you would need to bleach your hair... and even then i'm not sure if it works!!!

well, i've never actually heard of dying it with jello, BUTT i have heard of dying it with the powder kool-aid! I do it all the time((: My hair is naturally dark brown and i got blue highlights using the blue powder. It lasts about 2-3 days for me. You just need to boil water and put the powder in and put in small sections for 5 minutes and tah dahhhh. Pretty((: Hope i helpeddd<3
