What's the best shampoo and conditioner for damaged hair?

I have shoulder length hair with short layers. I cut and dye my hair last summer and now I get really bad split ends and can't seem to get it to grow. Am currently using Ion but isn't helping at all. So am wondering what shampoo and condition are the best or damaged hair.

Also I was thinking about trying Aromachologie Repairing Shampoo & Conditioner
but its kinda pricey to buy then it not work.

Try Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner in Deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep.

I use shampoo and regular conditioner (whatever shampoo and then Suave Humectant conditioner) then put on the 3 minute miracle and put a shower cap over it. I shave/wash etc keeping the cap on and then take it off and rinse right before I get out of the shower. It works really well. One day when I was buying it the checkout girl was excited because she uses it and it works for her too!

Other things-

Let your hair air dry. Don't touch the blow dryer unless you're trying to do a special style.

Don't wash your hair every day. Every other day at most. When you overwash you strip it of its natural oils and it becomes damaged more easily. I spray this stuff

on my roots on off days.

There is no such thing as a repairing/moisturizing shampoo, no matter how many shampoo companies claim this.

For damaged hair (and any kind of hair), the best shampoo to use is a sulfate-free shampoo. This won't moisturize hair (that's conditioner's job), but since it lacks sulfates, it has fewer damaging ingredients that most shampoos have.

Use a regular conditioner. Once a week, use a deep conditioner -OR- do an oil treatment with olive oil, or coconut oil or grapeseed oil, put it in your hair for 30 minutes and then wash out.

Cut off the split ends, that's the only way to get rid of them.

There are so many variables here. Vidal Sassoon works just fine for me, but I have girlfriends who, because of various differences from me, need a different shampoo and conditioner. Talk to your stylist.
