People with long hair--what's the worst split end you've ever found?

I ran out of conditioner AND I recently had to straighten my hair for a gathering, so even though I used the right products, I've found some split ends in the past few days.

The one I just found, the split starts about 6 inches from the bottom of the hair, and it has EIGHT forks! The hair looks like it's possessed! I plucked it out. No surprise, it was part of my hair that got bleached last year.

So, what's the worst split end you've ever found?

Omg, so ive been straightening my hair since like...last year.

I use heat protection spray, and use good shampoos and conditioners ever time I take a shower.

But like a month ago, I started noticing my HORRIBLE split ends.

I got them cut TWICE since then..

I found one, that was like split into 7-8 parts!! THE TIPS WERE EVEN WHITE!

I freaked out. I drove to Bubbles, and asked them to chop off every split end they could find.

my hair is shorter now..but its ALOT better than having white haired split ends!

Well, swimming is a big cause for damaged hair, if your in a pool, chlorine's chemicals damage it, and if you're at the beach, the salt water dries it out too. Split ends normally happen a month or less than the last time you cut it. Since you are a swimmer, you could wear a swim cap.. I dont know if there is a way to Completely make the split ends go away but some healthy hair advice is to deep condition your hair at least once a week (after you are showered and done with swimming is a good time) olive oil works wonders for dry, damaged hair. And make sure to use a leave in conditioner (Aveeno has an amazing one) Another option that i use almost everyday or every other day is Aussie's 3 minutes miracle! I use it in the shower and then when i take it out my hair feels and smells great. Also, cut back on straightening as much as you can, that fries your hair.
