I was planning to buy RIO SCANNING LASER HAIR REMOVAL from Argos or something similar, but I was wondering if it is safe and if it works? How long does it last? How long does it take to remove all the hair from one leg for example? Are there any negative side effects? Any information will be useful. Thank you very much already.

I bought one for facial hair removal...it's a very slow process.

I found it safe and easy to use..it takes a while to destroy the hair folical, several appilcations on each hair being reqiured.

I must admit I got very bored doing the same area over and over again.

I know it's more expensive...but have you considered having it done professionaly?

I had my whole face done to remove beard hair.

That cost £485 for six sessions at Sk:n clinic, and my quite dark hair was totally removed(although it is slowly returning...as I was advised it would after a few months break from sessions). This varies from person to person.

Even professional laser treatment is'nt truly total as it can only work on people with lighter skin tones and doe'snt remove blond/white hair at all.The only totaly reliable method is unfortunatly...electrolosis.

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods. Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful. Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.
