Okay, so my neighbor booked her hairdresser/friend to do her hair. My neighbor asked her if she can do my hair, I want bright red highlights in my dark brown hair- just like my neighbors hair. So she turned up tonight and i said she will not be able to do my hair. This is because apparently my hair is too dark and the red will go into a gingerish colour. So is this true? This kind of pissed me off because my neighbor said that the darker my hair is, the better it will turn out. I also checked online and ive seen loads of photos with women's hair like that. Personally i think that she just said that because she cant be bothered as it is a bit late. But still... She wouldn't lie would she?
Sorry for the essay ^^ hahah :) Cheers!

with hair color, almost anything is possible. but depending on what you want it may take a lot of time and effort. its possible that it couldve been too late and your stylist just simply didnt feel like doing it, or maybe she was afraid it would be too damaging on your hair. if youve never colored your hair before, this should be an easy task. now if u already have previous color in your hair, then this is where it may be challenging. you would have to lighten (bleach) the parts you want highlighted red, and then color it the red color you want. needless to say, this can be done regardless of your situation. hope this helps!

She isn't lying, the red colour won't process onto to your hair unless she bleaches it. It's very time consuming it might take like 2 hours or more to do it. But if you want definitely do it. I personally think the combination of the two colours look cute lol :)

Theres no reason why it wouldnt unless they didnt bleach the area first.
