If you used a plain or natural black wouldn't be noticeable. But now if you went with a Blue Black (which is simply a blue-ish tint to it when the light/sun hits it then you might actually be able to tell a difference. You'd get your black and your difference.

If you dye it with natural black or plain black, I guess it wouldn't be too noticeable since your hair already appears black. You should dye it with black that has other tones like blue black or jet black. That's more noticeable because your hair would have a different hue.
so they guy who answered before me is so right 0_o

yea it kinda already looks black. but my hair used to be like that and i wanted to dye it black. i did and it looked like crap. i have an olive complexion so i thought it'd be great but it totally washed me out. it wasn't a nice shiny black like natural black is it was dull. are you going for that goth look cause that's what it ll do more than likely. if you try it go temporary at first, so it ll wash out. i used permanent and i had to have it stripped, it turned my hair a lovely Orange-brassy color. horrible
