Question:
To straighten super-nappy hair, H-E-L-P?

So I am half black and half Puerto Rican. My mom has what you'd call "good hair", it's long and soft and fluffy and easy to straighten, although it's naturally curly (think big, fluffy, bouncy curls like a child's doll, not tight, kinky curls like an African)..
My dad has complete, 100% African hair. Needless to say, I inherited good ol' dad's genes in terms of hair and so I've got a pom-pom head. I tried relaxers which worked as for as long as I didn't wash my hair. Once it was hair-washin' time, I was screwed. Plus it totally botched my hair and now I have horrible dry hair, easy breakage, and split ends. Right now I've been straightening my hair but it gets all stiff and still very thick and poofy (I have a lot of hair and it's very thick) so now I braid my hair for the time being. I hate braiding my hair and I hate taking out the braids. I really just hate dealing with my hair. De-tangling and conditioning are things I can do. Spending like two hours styling my hair is ridiculous though. I am far too busy for that and I would much rather have straight hair so I can just brush it down and leave it at that. (Soo all you Afrocentric people don't come bashing me because I want straight hair out of convenience).
I really don't like relaxers and straighteners because they don't work well and killy my hair. I know of the good straightening products like Chi and the japanese/keratin treatments but I don't have $150+ to be dishing out every time I get new growth. I know my hair would be weighed down and easier to straighten if I let it grow out, but it's already shoulder length (when straight) and I don't want my hair to be all the way down my back. It would defeat the purpose of wanting "simplicity" in the morning when styling my hair. What can I do to straighten my hair? It doesn't have to be bone straight, it just has to stay DOWN! Even loose curls would be fine for me if it just gets rid of this dang kinky texture!

well, this is what i do...

first you have to shampoo and condition your hair..and on damp hair put lotion (body lotion) and then let dry, once dry use a flat iron and straighten it.

the lotion prevents the hair from burning and keeps its nice and straight for longer, not to mention incredibly shiny. use about a quater size, rub into palms and proceed to put all over hair.

the results are great.

Well, it appears like you could have relatively somewhat of freckles however your face is a great form in order that #two and #three could seem adorable on you! If you wish whatever in an effort to final somewhat longer than cross with #two however in case you wish whatever in an effort to keep in for approximately a month or much less, cross with #three. They each could seem rather adorable on you!
