im getting really annoyed rite now, since my flat iron just broke....i've had 3 different kinds of flats irons within the past year.....remington wet-straight, bed-head, and tool science (which was pretty expensive-and good-until it just stopped working an hour ago!) What hair straightener out there is really good, especially for thick, really wavy hair, and will last for a WHILE?!?!? Thank you.

i have a HAI (hair art institute) and i have had this for almost 5 years, without a problem, i have used it almost everyday since forever... my hair is extremely chaotic, and i hate my hair with a passion lol!!! idk how much it is because my mom bought it, and i think it is awesome!!! it allowes me to do my hair in chunkier pieces because it works really well and so it cuts my straightning time in half!!!

Absolutely Chi

302-356 F or 150-180 C in only 6-10 seconds

Saves energy - CHI is only using 20-25 Watts of Electricity

Somewhere around $150 but totally worth it!

GHD or Chi. I have the same type of hair as you and had GHD for 2 years and works wonders! They are expensive but comne with a 1 year guarentee and last well.

A really good one is a chi. That'ss the one that that is really skinny. But a really good way to find the type of flat iron you need is to talk to you stylist. They know what type if hairyou havee, how you need to take care of it,and wat things you should and shouldn't do to it.they can tell you the proper things to use for you hair.who knows, mabey you get advice that makes your hair look even more better and glamorus and make you shine like the beautiful gal inside.

Get the conair infiniti! It's the one you see on the commercials, with the steam. It works great and will last a long time. It's kind of expensive ($40) but works great.

I have the maxi glide. i also have thick hair. the flat iron plates are 2 inches so it cover most of your hair and wont take forever to straighten.

i also have realllllyy thick wavy hair. i use the hair designer by connair, for when its wet, then that completly dries, combs, and partially straightens it, then i use the remington wet to straight when its dry. mine works realllly good. the hair designer uses hot air, so its not bad for your hair. the remingtons bad for wet hair since it burns it basically.

answer mine PLEASE

it wont let me post it, so go to my profile and answer it

Ok as far as cheaply priced straightners, go for the new vidal sassoon one thats for course hair (its purple) it costs like $25. If you want a good straightner that will last you for years but is a little more pricey, get a CHI. Either you can go to your local beauty salon and they will order you one for their cost (usually about $130) OR you can get them off ebay for $79! My advice - go with the CHI

I have a cheap $20 Revlon one and that's actually lasted a really long time. I've had it since 9th grade I believe and I'm in my second year of college now. I've actually bought more expensive ones and this one actually outworks them.

Well usually when you go to a website and look up a straightener it has comments on it or how many stars it is worth. Try going by that.

i have extremely thick, curly hair and i've had a Chi straightener for almost 2 years now, used it almost everyday since i've gotten it, and it still works like a charm :)

you can usually get them around 100$ at Sally's beauty supply, or online.

i've had http://www.target.com/dp/B001M5JUPI/sr=1-14/qid=1230419441/ref=sr_1_14/185-1994776-8198513?ie=UTF8&index=target&field-browse=1038576&rh=k%3Astraighteners&page=1 <--- that straightern for like 2 years and i use it everyday and it works like a charm. i LOVE it, sometimes my fingers slip in the button but you learn not to push them.

soo yeah i thnk it wroks well but see for yourself :)

goodluck.
