Deep condition overnight with coconut oil. Use a t-shirt on your pillow to avoid a greasy pillow case.

Also, use a T-shirt to dry your hair. It's much softer and smoother than a rough bath towel.

After washing and conditioning, GENTLY wring your hair out by squeezing it.

Wrap it up in the t-shirt - you head goes in the bottom so it's like your putting it on, but then just gather up the remainer of the t-shirt and twist it around your head and tuck it in. Do whatever you need to in the meantime to allow the t-shirt to soak up the excess wetness from your hair - coffee, get dressed or whatever you need to do.

Unwrap the t-shirt and use a WIDE TOOTH COMB - NOT A BRUSH - to detangle your hair.

Be gentle.

If it's really tangled, apply some leave-in conditioner to your hands, rub them together and be sure to get some on your fingertips and gently work your fingers through your hair in a down wards motion, smoothing the hair between your hands. This helps the hair cuticle smooth down and lay flat.

Dry with ONLY your hands using a hair dryer on a medium setting. You can use a heat protectant spray if you want. Don't tousle or be rough with your hair.

Apply a small amount of a good leave-in conditioner afterwards.

And of course, wash your hair every 2-3 days. Don't color or bleach it. Use coconut oil when you have some extra time. Hope this helps. Also, Dove Nutri-Oil shampoo and conditioners are REALLY good to use.

They've really helped my bleach-damaged hair. Anything by Dove will be great, also It's a 10 Miracle Leave-In conditioner is also amazing and was recommended to me by a stylist. Good luck!

There's a product beauticians used to use called Cholesterol (comes under a few brand names). And there are also tubes of fix-it for damaged and broken hair.

Some people treat their hair with mayonaise (although greasy but wash with shampoo afterwards and eventually the greasy goes away but it's good for your hair). What else I use is Vasaline Intensive Care hand lotion and I put it on overnight and wash off in the morning. From time to time I do this and, well, it works well for me. I have blonde hair down to my waist and no split ends.

You'd also need to use a conditioner after you shampoo your hair. That makes the hair strand stick together and no no split ends occur.

Good news: You don't have to completely swear off blow-drying. Just do it right. "Your hair will be much better off if you start blow-drying when it isn't dripping wet," says Boston dermatologist Ranella Hirsch. Blot, don't rub, wet hair with a microfiber towel, which is less damaging than the classic terry-cloth turban. Use a heat-protective spray or serum. Our favorites: Tresemmé Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Spray and John Frieda Frizz-Ease Hair Serum Thermal Protection Formula.

I've dealt with frying my hair at least 4 times now. Stop coloring it, let your hair rest. Try not to use heat styling tools, but if you must, be sure to use a heat protecting spray. Do overnight hair masks with products with natural oils in them. I would suggest Cantu leave in conditioner, V05hair & skin oil, and most importantly COCONUT OIL. Also, be sure to get a trim off your hair to eliminate lots of split ends. Give it a few weeks of doing the hair masks and whatnot, your hair will be better in no time :)

One more thing!

Shampoo AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE. It'll strip your hair of natural oils that would otherwise be helping your hair.

Hair usually get damaged due to cracked cuticles. This usually happens due to the use of harsh hair products and/or strong handling of hair. Switch to a sulfate-free, gentle shampoo. Avoid rubbing hair strands with towel while drying them. Handle tresses like a baby. Keep hair well-moisturized by using pH-balanced, appropriate shampoo that helps to preserve essential oil of scalp. Dry hair tend to break more. Ensure you take a protein-rich diet.

Don't use heat, use Argan oil and try shampoo/conditioner specially made for damaged hair (ex. Aveda damage remedy) coconut oil treatments work well too

I know it sounds gross but egg is really good for it. It has a lot of protein and helps with any damage in hair. Also coconut oil helps moisturize really well and helps with dry scalp.

Use Organix Keratin Shampoo and Conditioner. (In a pink bottle) They have a keratin treatment by the same brand too and Its awesome. It helps. I used it when my hair was breaking. I also had a high iron content in my water so if that's the case use a Malibu treatment to rinse your hair out from the iron.

Some WD-40 and some duct tape should do the trick, if not, contact your local sperm bank to get some "special" Shampoo, it'll be fine, love :)
