Im going to get a "scene" hair cut. But I have spiral curls.. Should I straighten my hair before I get it cut?

Okay..Well, I have VERY curly spiral curls..And i'm getting a scene haircut. She straightens her hair EVERY day! But it doesn't look damaged at ALL? But I really want this hairstyle too! I'm sure since it worked for her, it'd work for me..(Because we have the same hair type...) What do you think? Should I get this haircut? :( And if so, should I straighten it before I get it cut? :o

if u got the same hair type then go for it ... and just make sure to not straighten when you really dont have to ... and use heat protectant and hair masks



No dont straighten it cause i know alot of salons either wash your hair before you get it cut orr they spray your hair with water so that its easier to comb and cut through... which would defeat the purpose of straighting it .

I love scene hairstyles!! If you want this you should get I'm sure it wOuld look good and also if you want to straighten your hair everyday just make sure you use a good hEat protectant and your hair should be fine. When you go to the hairdresser take the picture of the hair cut you want that way you'll get what you want and also you can ask her opinion to if it would suit you also don't straighten your hair before you go if it needs to be straight the hairdresser will straighten it herself. She may want to cut it wet so don't straighten it beforehand. Also if she straightens make sure you watch so you will be able to do it yourself with good technique. Hope this helped and good luck :)

Straighten your hair. That way the hair stylist can get a better image if your hair and if they cut dry, or if they convince you to color your hair as well it will be just a bit easier.

I always feel awkward when i go in without doing anything to my hair. AT LEAST I will try and style my hair how I'd normally do if so they can get a sense of how much effort I do put into my hair.

YES. Straighten it. I hate it when curly headed girls come in and want scene cuts. I ALWAYS cut it dry if its straight. Just tell them your dilemma and see what they say. Or, opt for a blowdry style afterwards so that you can make sure it is perfect. You need to use a thermal protector with a flat iron.

Don't do anything to it. You don't have to. Just tell your stylist that the cut you want, you'll be straightening your hair everyday. And she'll cut it shorter when it's wet and curly and when you straighten it, it'll be slightly longer.



Also, use products when applying heat to your hair. That's what keeps it healthy!

don't straighten it before you get it cut because they will wet down your hair anyways. if you do straighten it every day make sure you buy a hair protector spray to help the heat not damage and slit your ends.
