There really is no way of saving your hair color from falling out, because depending where you live there can be clorine in the water and it will defintaley affect the results. The shampoos and conditioners at the store that have all those claims to maintain permed or colored hair from fading are just trying to make money off you. The key here is to look at the ingridents. You're going to notice that there is no difference between those and the regular shampoos no matter what they say, when you put that shampoo or conditioner on , its gonna get washed off and go down the drain. Along with the shampoo or conditioner , the color, supposent vitamins and fruit oils too.

Dying hair is a costy process that is like a monthly routine, and you have to be on top of your hair. When it begins to fade, instead of dying it again with peroxide, go to the semi permanent isle and buy ( for example. Beyond the Zone) and use it to retouch the color vibrancy..When you start seeing alot of the roots which is around the end of the month, then you use the peroxide with the dye.

Glazes claim to give your hair a tinted shine for like 10 bucks... but the truth is your best bet is buying a shine spray such as Hask pure to give your new hair color some life after every shower.

Don't wash it too often, if you want the best results ( even if it's not dyed) , you'll extent your color life and your hair vitality.

There are special shampoos that are for colored hair.

But here's something interesting I found

The editors of Which? Online test twenty-two shampoos on hair that is dry, damaged, or color-treated. All of the tested shampoos cleaned hair, but the testers found that shampoos for normal hair worked just as well as shampoos that made special claims for dry, damaged hair, or color-treated hair. They also found that the cheaper shampoos did better than two more expensive salon shampoos. Although this is a British Web site, a lot of familiar brands are included in testing, including Clairol Herbal Essences, Dove, Pantene, VO5, Paul Mitchell and Redken.
