I am a hair dresser. if you do a high light. and a redish low light your eyes will popp mannely it is the red. green and red are complementry colors. so I would do red low lights for sure even if you dont do the blond highlights.

also by doing highlights and lowlights you reduce bad roots.

What shade of brown are you naturally?

I'm like you. I have green eyes (mid/dark) and very fair skin, but I've been blonde all my life, I'm getting really sick of it, and I'm really hoping to go darker sometime this week. (This is why your question caught my eye -- I'm also curious.)

Anyway, if you have light brown hair, I wouldn't be afraid to do darker if I were you to a mid brown (especially if you have darker eyebrows, which I, sadly, don't. (But eyebrow tint was invented for people like me.)) I think mahogany tones can look utterly striking on pale, green eyed girls, but I've browsed around sites recently and if you're very fair you should apparently avoid red tones. But everyone's different and some people can just make it WORK.

I don't think it would matter if you went lighter or darker, since there are arguments that both can make you look washed out, although I really think that's a matter of being too light or too dark. My advice: choose lighter or darker as you wish. I don't believe that people with a certain skin tone can only pull off one colour, and anyway - if you get bored of one you can try the other, as I am.

I know I probably wasn't too helpful, but good luck!

Hi Dot, I too have beautiful green eyes and fair skin. Our eyes are so unique and it's only natural that you would want to highlight this special feature. That being said, I feel like some subtle highlights would be very pretty in your hair, but perhaps what would highlight those gorgeous eyes even more would be careful attention to your eye make-up. Perhaps you are already doing that, but I just thought I'd mention it.

Too drastic of a hair change might detract from your beautiful eyes, it might be best to stay close to your natural color with only minimal blonde or light brown accents. Have fun!

If you would rather go light, a light, neutral-toned blonde would look really nice with your colorings (a la Charlize Theron). If you would rather go light, go for a medium auburn brown-- the red will contrast with your green eyes, and make them really pop out (a la Drew Berrymore/ Scarlett Johansson).

Dark chocolate brown.

I have extremely fair skin as well, and blue/green hazel eyes. I'm naturally blonde, but when I died my hair i received a lot of comments like 'you're hair looks more natural dark!'

are you looking to dye your whole head or just add some color? I bet it would look really pretty if you put some red low lights in your hair! You dont want to go lighter because you wont look right as a blonde.

dark green Eyes are the killer - kool - neat - warm - proper and quite decide for black hair - instruments them off like no different coloration in spite of the shown fact that it fairly is complicated to get hair colored black and you may might desire to pass to a super reliable salon and pay the vast dollars to make useful that with your gentle dermis, it does no longer appear like a blob of shoe polish. So - i could p.c. a depressing brown with lighter highlights because of the fact the main secure option.

You still can sport your brown hair but just put highlights like a honey or golden blonde my second optional would be red .
