wash rinse and repeat?

people always say to wash your hair this way. but what do they mean by repeat? repeat what? how many times do i shampoo and condition?

They mean shampoo, rinse out hair, shampoo again, and rinse again.



I don't recommend doing this, because your scalp and hair need natural oils to be truly healthy. Shampooing once is fine. Also when shampooing it's best to lather the soap in your hands first them start to lather your scalp, working the suds downwards into the length of your hair.



I think the rinse and repeat is a marketing ploy- it gets the consumer to use up the shampoo faster.

yeah ive heard about all those sayings "wash rinse repeat". but i actually looked that up because i was once wondering the same thing. turns that over washing your hair can strip your hair of natural needed oils and moister, causing dried up hair almost. it also leads to dandruff very often. If you do though use a dandruff shampoo for previous needs, its okay to shampoo with that, then another typical shampoo. But never condition twice. Too much conditioner leads to GREASY hair which everybody hates!! all that moister makes your hair's oil build-up in the scalp increase by 50%, which makes a lot of people's hair start the "greasy process" by 12 hours of washing, AKA really short amounts of time!!!!

so bascially do your shampoo, (another if needed for dandruff/etc) and condition, and RINSE well!! get all the soapy stuff out so your hair is super clean, but not too dry and not too conditioned.

Nobody does it more than once, just shampoo and rinse, then condition and rinse. For healthier hair, don't even wash every day, every other day or 2 days is good so u don't dry it out.

But don't do it more than twice or you will dry out your hair, unless you say just worked on the car and got grease in your hair
