What brand of hair straighteners do you consider the best?

I am searching for a new hair straightener.
I am considering getting a CHI, but I've heard that they break very fast.
Sedu seems very good, but I don't know much about.
And a lot of people are saying that the GHD is very good.
Which one of these would you say is the best?
Is there one better than any of these.

I have thick, coarse asian hair. I've tried CHI (not available with tourmaline), and FHI, but my ultimate favorite is the Sedu Original Model 1 1/2" (not the new Revolution model). It costs $115 on Folica.com with free shipping and a 2 year warranty. There is a 1" model that runs for $108. Folica.com is the ONLY online retailers of Sedu products. They are a very reliable company and I've made multiple purchases from them with no problems.



The Sedu flat irons have ceramic/tourmaline plates, which emit loads of negative ions and infrared heat. This type of heat is less damaging than that of regular ceramic plates. Plus, Sedu flat irons have super shiny scratch-resistant plates that glide through your hair like butter - no kidding! I looove mine so much and will never stray from it! :o)



Oh, one more thing! Sedu changed all their flat irons so that they now come with strong, thick, and straight cords that don't swivel and cause shorts. So good! The CHI and GHD flat irons come with swivel cords, which are more likely to short and stop working. Plus, both the CHI and GHD do not have temperature control. In other words, whatever temperature they are set at is what you're stuck with. This is very bad because the set temperature may not be hot enough for your hair type or worse yet, it may be way too hot.

I got my Solia a few years back, it worked great for my hair (and my sister's hair too). Last August my sister went to a college in california, she took the Solia with her. Initially I wanted another Solia, but Jonna (my hair stylist) convinced me to get a Sedu. I did. Like Jonna said, Sedu is the best.

i got a 2-inch $20 Conair from walmart and it works really well. it even worked on my friend, and her hair is really wavy and stubborn.
