I was on youtube and came across a video of someone dyeing their hair with food colouring[god knows how!]. Anyway, reason I'm asking is that the person in the vid was blonde, however i have dark brown hair so would it work for me, or would you not be able to tell that I'd done it?

Never ever a good idea.. Seriously.

Experiment with the semi-permanant colours (like the spray on colours) then do something more permanant if you like it :)

Trust me, it'll look so much better

If you really want to dye your hair a different color and it's dark, you're going to need to bleach the section and then buy a dye such as Special FX or Manic Panic and follow instructions. Food coloring most likely won't show up on your hair...

some years in the past I dip dyed my hair for a school 'undesirable hair day' using purple foodstuff colouring, on the time my hair replaced into certainly blonde, it appeared truly good yet as quickly as I washed it, all of it ran out. don't be attentive to roughly kool help (i'm from england) yet to be undemanding I doubt it would final.

It would probably be hard to see. I suggest bleaching your hair first, if you want more effect.

Oh, and make sure the food coloring is not water soluble, or it will wash out instantly.

you would have to bleach your hair first.

trying to dye it with food coloring won't work, it won't show up at all unless your hair is a light color [blonde]
