Do you think Blondes are dumb. Alot of people think that and I am blonde it makes me feel dumb. I mean I always see these commericals making fun of Blondes.

no blondes are not dumb. people who happen to be blonde may make dumb decisions from time to time, but that is a reality of life for people of all hair color (including chemically applied) and bald people as well.



to give in to the assumption that a physical characteristic determines your ability in this life is to forward the very stereotypes that you are trying to overcome.



if you do something that is stupid, 'fess up: "That was stupid" and MOVE ON.



Don't use derogatory phrases like 'blonde moment' because they are not true! Everyone has 'moments' of less than quality.



Learn to separate your SELF from your packaging.



I know intelligent people of every hair color and scalp color. I likewise know people who have poor track records in decision making who fit the same physical criteria.



NEVER let someone else's prejudice determine how you feel about YOURSELF!



YOU ARE AS SMART AND INTELLIGENT AND BRIGHT as the decisions you make.



Learn to analyze the 'down the road' possibilities for the decisions you make.



Be willing to say 'I need some time on that' before committing yourself to a course of action that could brand you as a 'dumb blonde'.



And when people call you that, look them dead in the eye and tell them,



"I MAY BE BLONDE, BUT I AM NOT DUMB.



HOWEVER, THE SAME CANNOT BE SAID OF PEOPLE WHO JUDGE OTHERS BASED UPON HAIR COLORING OR ANY OTHER PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTIC.



I CAN LEARN TO MAKE BETTER CHOICES BUT ARE YOU WILLING LEARN TO OVERCOME YOUR PREJUDICE?"

Ummm, no! I think that people are people and what makes someone dumb doesn't have anything to do with the color of their hair... well maybe in a sense of the genes that were passed down- but not sterotypically.

I have met many many dumb people in my life and they have all had different hair colors. That's too bad that you have blonde hair and it makes you feel dumb, sorry to say but if some commercial or comment like that makes you feel that way... well--- maybe you kind of are...

Anywhoo- I am blonde and I always had great grades and really good common sense, I can't imagine I am some special exception to the rule, there are tons of smart blondes. I do think it is more believable when some blonde gets on t.v. and acts ditzy- but why is that? Oh because that is what society likes to portray. Hmm. Oh well!

That's such a stereotype. I have met both ends of the spectrum as far as blonds go - from a valedictorian to people who make rocks look smart. But you get that for burnettes, redheads, everything. I'm not sure why blondes get picked on so much though. Maybe because a lot of blonds are not naturally blond. Maybe it's just that all the dumb people want to be blonde so they give the natural blondes a bad rap....?

blonds are no dumber than the rest of the hair colors the only difference is that when blonds do dumb things they are really big kind of dumb. i mean we don't do things half way. it is easy to make fun of blonds because for the most part no one really cares or believes it. everyones intelligence should be judged on and individual basis not on because they look like this they must be dumb. i am pretty sure that some blonds probably pretend to be dumber than they are to play off the myth for personal gain. i mean who's going to say no to a beautiful ditz?

what i think is that blondes aren't dumb it's just that people think of them as dumb by the way they act. i have a guy friend who is blonde and some other girl friends that are blonde, all i think is that some times they act stupid because they want but other then that i think blondes are the same as any person because were all the same but we all come "in different shape and size!"

No, its a sterotype. I'm a brunette and I think I act more like a dumb blonde than my sister (really smart and successful-blonde). Your never dumb unless YOU think you are. And the commercials are just for fun, don't let 'em bother you!! If ppl in school bother you, the best thing you can do is embrace it and be proud of who you are, or prove 'em wrong!!

I constantly thought that blondes have been called 'dumb' because of the fact in the previous in case you have been a female who grew to become into dying their hair and additionally you twisted up and bleached your self, your hair might finally end up blonde. so as that they might evaluate this female 'dumb' because of the fact she did not even understand a thank you to dye her own hair. for this reason, blondes grew to become synonymous with 'dumb'. that's not a clinical answer, i understand, yet its the final i will think of of on the 2d, lol. it would additionally be that blonde hair is extra uncommon than darker hair & because of the fact that human beings like to make relaxing of issues that are diverse, perchance ppl only began calling blondes 'dumb' because of the fact they have been only diverse.

Blondes are smart enough to not stomp on a guy's vulnerable ego.



It takes brains to not show off how smart you are and scare the guy off!



Guys are in absolute awe of a woman's beauty and attrctiveness, and not just in looks!

A beautiful blonde at work was smiling wisely as two guys argued about who was right. She looked cool, and they were like boys unable to control themselves.



I thought to myself, she is smarter than both of them, put together! Yet she did not need to prove it.



It felt like they were fighting over her.



Why should she prove any thing, when the guys are practically "worshiping at her feet" already???



I talked to a Mensa member, when she and I were both single, and "looking". She quickly figured she could do better than me.



I wonder if she ever did?



She realized she was smarter, and so did I; but I'll always wonder if she blew it, looking for brains over wisdom. The race is not always to the swiftest.
