Is long hair considered unattractive or old fashioned?

I've been looking around on here and it seems that when people ask for hair advice they are usually told to get a shorter cut....

Is long hair (on females) out of style?

Because it's summer, plenty of people will probably be looking for a shorter haircut to keep cool.



It also depends on the age of the person. Elderly people do not always look as attractive with longer hair as someone that is younger than them. But ultimately, it does not depend on age - it depends on the person and what length of hair suits them.



Long hair and short hair don't usually go in and out of style. If you look around, you see many lengths, colours and styles of hair - everyone is different. Even if long hair WAS considered unattractive, it wouldn't matter - you should be able to cut and wear your hair however you like it.

No, long hair is beautiful. Maybe people advise others to get a shorter cut because getting a longer hair is not so common (and it is very expensive), that's probably why. I have quite long hair and love it. It's true that short cuts are getting very popular again, but it doens't mean that long hair is old-fashined.

Definitely depends on how long. I would say waist length hair is certainly out of style. There are plenty of haircuts though that wouldn't be considered short that are really classy in style. A lot of the people recommending short hair are 13 year old punk rocker girls who have no idea about anything out side of their crush on Bryan the football player.

NO WAY! if you look at almost ALL celebs.. they have hair extensions in. right? well that's because long hair is SO BEAUTIFUL! It's only not in when ur hair starts looking frizzy and thin at the bottom, that's when it's too long and makes ur hair look old. also some long layours around the crown makes a long style look really fresh :)

I like long hair not short hair. And it depads on what tip of person you are what do you look better in. If you look better in long go with long hair if it is short go with short. You can do more with long not short hair so it's up to you long mens more worke and short mens lees worke so have fun and yes a lot of people will say short is in but i do not care what is in i say it's up to you do what you like and what you think what is best for you:)

No. I think short hair is becoming old and played. Everyone has it. You hardly see people with long, under-processed, healthy hair anymore. When people see people who have that kind of hair, I am sure they wish they hadn't cut off all there hair and dyed it. I am growing mine. Anyway, do what you wanna, fashion is fashion.

If you know how to rock it its not a problem. Make sure it has nice layers and it does not look like a horse's mane. the only time it looks unattractive is when it is all one length and no one does anything about it style wise. So just find a nice cut with layers and manageable way to fix your hair everyday and its fine.

Long hair (when you keep it well) can be the sexiest part of women. And it was never and never will be out of style. Depend on what cloths you ware your hair can be curl, straight or you can make something using hair noddles...there is a lot of opportunities if you have enough imagination

No, diff styles look good on diff people. Whatever looks good on you. I think long hair is always great, as long as its vibrant and healthy. Not dull and dead and shapeless. No one would tell someone with beautiful shiny lively long hair to chop it off. Ever. Maybe that's why short is "in", so much easier to manage!

omg! no i love long hair my hair is meduim and i been diein for it to grow longer so at the end of the summer it well be nice a long for the school year but its gonna be like 2 inches above my elbow for me thats really long... in the middle of the school year i was gonna get my hair cut becuase of my split ends and i told the girl to cut of an inch and she cut 5-7 inches of and i was so mad it took me forever to grow my hair and everyone at school was so shocked so was i.. it was up to my shoulders alittle above them...i think the only reason no one has long hair is becuase its really hard to control if u straigten it, it takes a long time also alot of people in my school love long hair but all of them have short to meduim hair just because how long it is to control and its summer everyone wants a short syle so they can get up and go and if there at the beach and they get wet they really don't gotta worry much

Well to me and as my personal opinion long hair is beautiful on a woman because is what makes awoman look very sensual and feminen and it also keeps the scent of a woman after a shower that drives men like me craaazzzyyy! ahaha! and so yeah I think that long hair on a woman is awesome! if you ask me.

no guys like the long hair, but just try not to have it too long. like, one time at skool this guy that has a crush on me overheard me telling my friends i was gonna cut my hair shorter like a little longer then my shoulders and he came up to me and said " no dont cut it. longer hairs hotter." it was funny but now i see that most guys like longer hair. =)

no, many stars have long hair, and so do i. i think it looks great, and my hair stylist said that long sometimes certain hairstyles are just better for you face, i have had short but its not for me. so it really just depends on what looks good on you. i think long hair can be really pretty if you wear it the right way.

there is not something incorrect with long hair. notwithstanding, it relies upon on how long. i could say that something previous shoulder length is submit dated. To be honest nevertheless, some human beings do not seem good with shorter hair, notwithstanding it rather is the shape now.

Beauticians are a little lazy in that regard, it takes more effort to care and style long hair (twists, braids, french braids, plaits, etc) than short. So easy to cut it off! So long to let it grow! "Go short for the summer", but how can you go long for the winter?
