Okay, I use to comb my hair when it was extremely wet, and I have come to realize that is VERY bad for your hair. I hear it can cause split ends, but what else does breakage mean? Can hair breakage mean hair loss?

Also, I use to excess style it, constantly. Can hair ever grow back from excess styling? Or do I just lose the follicle permanently?

I also know we loose up to 100 strands per day. I just need these two questions answered because I can't find anything on Google about this topic really. I can't find any straight answers.

Make sure you're eating a healthy diet. That's your #1 defense against hair breakage. Also make sure you're eating enough. Protein will help as will getting plenty of vitamins. And give it a looooong break from styling - esp if you used heat, that will damage your hair a lot. Let it air dry, then brush gently, and let be.

breakage means just that - the hair breaks somewhere along the shaft. baldness happens when it falls out at the root & doesn't grow back.

excessive styling isn't good for healthy hair, same with too much product.
