HI I have dirty blonde hair with really light colored highlights in it. I want to put some light colored brown streaks in my hair though. What hair color brand should I get and when I put the light brown highlights over my blonde highlights will my hair turn green???? Also any ideas for a light brown color. Thanks.

revlon's lowlights are cool and no your hair shouldn't turn green I also have dirty blonde hair and got medium brown highlights and my hair looks great and not green at all. I'm soooo glad I did it

It could turn green that's why if you go to a salon, they can see what undertone your hair has and then apply a toner to cancel that undertone out. I would use goldwell color or chi, these have really nice colors to them. I would say go a little on the dark side like a level 4, 5, or 6 and then have them underneath the crown area so they just peak through the top layer of hair. I would have highlites on the crown area so that it will really accent the brown peak-a-boo's.

I have the same color hair as you and I used Garnier Nutriesse Dark Natural Blonde and it worked great. (No Green) It's a bit dark at first, but wash it once or twice and it fades into it's intended color. It ends up being a light brown. Wal-mart $6

I wouldnt dye it brown streaks. It wont turn out unless you get it done professionally. One drip in the wrong spot, and your hair is toast.

My hair is almost the same xcolor as yours is naturally, and I dye mine like this: I part my hair from the ears and go almost straight up, then grab about a one inch section from the center ( like your part). tie that part up as tight as you can. put the rest up in the back like a ponytail. Part a one inch section to leave blonde in the back. ( I usually go front ear to ear in the back.) The I dye the ponytail in the center dark brown.

I know it sounds funny, but the result looks great. The blonde shines brighter against the dark, and when you turn your head, the brown flashes through your hair. When you put it up into a ponytail, it just looks streaked blonde, instead of that screwed up chunky skunk look most girls get cause they cant dye their own hair at home. Hope it helps!

you should definitely go to a professional so they can put in highlights that flatters your face shape. highlights at home can go horribly wrong. your hair will turn green if you go into the pool a lot so yeah.

I don't think it will turn green but your best bet is to go to a hair salon and get their advice first.
