I want to put half my hair in pigtails, on top, and have them stand up - what would be the easiest way to do this? I would prefer not to have to use glue, or anything that will be a pain to wash out.
thanks =)

In the pippie longstockings movie they used pipe cleaners to make her braids stick up like that. So maybe tiny braids or twist the hair around the pipe cleaner?? It's the only clean method I know of, all you need is hairspray to help the hair around the pipe cleaner stay in place.

Take pipe cleaners or if you don't have access to that - take a cardboard box or even a shoe box and cut out the antennas the size and length you want - paint or crayon them black and use plastic hair crescents and tape or glue to it - if you don't have the crescents plastic hair item - take string/yarn the color of your hair and weave it till it is strong enough to hold your antennas and glue or tape them on the string - good luck and have a great time!@

A friend of mine used pipe cleaner straw things that bend and have a little metal down the middle for suppoert. just wrap ur hair around it i think and it should stay up. make a little circle at the bottom for some base support. I dont know exactly how she did it but i know she used pipe cleaner. Hope this helped.

Hair glue would work great, but it's hard to wash out sometimes. I've used shaving cream once to make my hair stand up and it washes out great but makes the hair dry.

It may sounds out there but trying using tampons as a base. Seriously! pull your hair around the tampon and secure it to where you can't see it. Either that or get some black pipecleaners and somehow rig it into braided antennas to help give it hold and bend into the shape you want.

get a headband and wrap wire around the band and then shape it to stand up. Do this to both sides of the headband. Then just simply braid your hair around the wires. Good luck (:

Use spiking glue. It's not really glue at all. It's actually made for hair and washes out just fine. This stuff gives me some wicked spikes! I'm sure it will give you nice, stiff, hard antennae.
You could probably use a pencil (or something else long and skinny) to wrap your hair around and stand up. It'll probably fall down, but then again I haven't tried it before. That's the best I've got. good luck!
