i tend to take showers at night. i didnt comb my hair after taking a shower so i would wake up with a wavy dry hair. recently i bought a paddle brush and so i comb my hair at night. in the morning my hair is less wavy and with some shine. i began to use Suave (shampoo/ conditioner). my hair seem healthier. then i saw a video that said that its not healthy for the hair to sleep with it wet and to use a paddle brush after taking a shower or to even comb it.

What's good for the goose, may not be good for the gander.

Meaning, what works for her, may not work for me. I fully dry my hair, towel then some air drying, then 5 mins. blow drying THEN I brush my hair. It is always shiny, silky, smooth & sot, because of how I care for my hair.

Going to bed with wet hair doesn't damage the hair, but it produces greasier hair. I know that's what happens to me, me if I don't.

When my hair was damaged due to dyeing & perming, I finger comb my wet hair, gel it or blow dry & set them in plastic curlers. This produces silkier, softer, shinier, & smoother hair, by taming the curls. Finger comb or brush when styling.

I've used Suave before, good product for damaged, permed hair. It makes my hair greasy now, on the 2nd day, so I don't use it anymore, I took it back.

Of course.

A comb or hair polarizer is a toothed device used in hair care for straightening and cleaning hair or other fibers. Combs are among the oldest tools found by archaeologists, having been discovered in very refined forms from settlements dating back to 5000 years ago in Persia. Combing or brushing our hair is a natural thing. It has some real benefits of it.

By brushing hair:

* We allow some fresh air into our hair.

* Clear out the bits of dust and other dirt that build up during the day.

* It assists blood circulation at the top of the head.

* It relieves stress in tired bodies.

* It can also be delightfully soothing and relaxing, providing a light massage across the whole head which is an extremely sensitive area and highly receptive to this kind of treatment.

* It affects on mood.

* Daily brushing makes hair grow faster.

* You can train your hair to follow a style by combing it in that style daily.

* It affects the general health of hair.

* You look less messy after brushing your hair.

Be gentle and do it right. Hope i helped.

Do what works best for you. If the results are good for you to brush your hair after a shower in the evening then do it. Only you are the one who has to be happy with the results in the morning ok.

Videos can be helpful in offering insightful tips about hair care, hair development and maintenance and condition improvements but as Sur Le Mur mentioned what works for some may not work for you and vice versa.

The best thing to do is to try and see what works for you, by trying out things yourself. Every ones results differs. I wouldn't be too concerned about damp hair being unhealthy, your hair will benefit from the extra moisture it receives, plus your hair is more resilient than some give it credit for.

Try different things out ok, It's matter of what works best for you. Hope that helps, Take care

It's fine to comb your hair after taking a shower (I do it all the time), but use a wide tooth comb to ensure that you won't tear out any of your hair.
