Question:
Is there such a thing as 1-time, temporary haircolor that will wash out easily?

It's for a costume. If there is such a thing, what brand name should I be looking for? And is it safe to use on a child of 7? Before I get angry postings back, I definitely won't use it if it isn't, I just have no idea what might be out there and thought it made sense to do some "homework" before I even bother going to the drugstore. Thank you!

My oldest daughter used "one time use, wash out" haircolour on her son for HIS costume for a school play. In December. So far the colour hasn't washed out much at all, although it is no longer bright purple, but a subdued wine.

I would say that a better answer would be to get a cheap wig and colour that.

Yes I don't know if you can get them at the drugstore but they are definitely available at beauty supply stores such as Sally's. Its the type of thing they make available at Halloween just a little better quality. It won't hurt their hair don't worry. You may have to scrub a little harder than usual but nothing out of the ordinary.

Yes, I used one before called "Color Pulse" by Loreal. It does not have Ammonia, and it does not have Peroxide. But it is very difficult to find, I found mine at Ulta. It comes out in 8-10 shampoos.

Here is a link to their colors and where to buy it:

Hope this helps!
