I want to braid my hair. It is permed. There was some damage from the perm, and i was going to leave braids in there, so the broken hair would grow back. My problem is, keeping the braids tight. I can't use beads, or rubbers bands..against school rules. how do i do it? and please no pointless posts.

oh...i had the same question when i had a perm, and u can braid permed hair the way u braid regular hair, but lyke regular hair, if u keep the braids in too long you'll lose hair, but when i had a perm i just got extensions and braided them into my hair.

You can braid permed hair, but the only problem I see is if the braids are too tight. Never allow anyone to braid your hair too tight, especially if your hair is broken off in areas. You don't need rubber bands or beads. By the way, perms are damaging if they are applied wrong. Make sure that only the new growth is relaxed, not the entire hair every time.

you can't because the root of the hair get's fragile when you put that perm in and all that braiding is going to make the hair of the person fall out.

What about getting it braided then, having tracks sew in? That way if you still have rubber bands it's not visible.

after you perm your hair you can't braid it because your hair breaks and it is soft.
