I know this question is 7 years old but I relax my hair every 3 months and I use leftover relaxer when available. i have been told that I have "white girl hair" my hair has never broken out from using leftovers. I think it saves money and Yes, I use the whole perm and add all of the activator use half and refrigerate the leftovers and it is good for about 4 months at the most.

No, you're not suppose to. Most of the brands I've used contain a warning that the chemicals breakdown after exposure to air or after mixing in the activator (depending on the kind you use). I've also tried using saved relaxer and the result, IMO, isn't very good.

No. All relaxers have a shelf life, so, the chemicals wouldn't respond in the same way.

No DO NOT do that!! Throw it out please. Since you purchased it in a kit, I would have to assume it's a brand like Dark 'n Lovely, those are NO-LYE relaxers and CANNOT be reused. If you had a relaxer in a tub, one that did not require any mixing, they those are safe to save and reuse because they are LYE relaxers. Please be safe and buy a new kit. They only cost like $10, it's not worth the risk of loosing your hair honey.

I wouldn't think so. You should probably buy another kit. It's not worth ruining your hair over a few bucks.

It depends on the type of relaxer you bought, if it is mixed with an activator then you cannot and should not use the left over, but if it is out of a jar with no mixing sure you can. One other suggestion, if the relaxer uses a activator, take enough out before using and place it in an empty container usually about half content and mix with half activator then discard the leftover. You will still have the remaining half to use another time. note donot put activator in relaxer until you are ready to use it.

It's all just a matter of personal preference. We have short hair and guys just like it. And i prefer a man with short hair over a man with long hair because long curly hair tends to make guys look as well girly.
