I'm very used to using "name brand" shampoo and conditioner. I live at home with my mom and step dad and things here are getting rough (for the whole story please read my other questions, its too complicated to post it all over again and really has nothing to do with this question)...

My boyfriend and I are looking for a place to live and I realize that I will no longer be able to spend my money on the high-end hair products. I hope I dont sound like a spoiled brat(i'm really not)..I have very difficult to manage hair (curley/wavy, frizzy, dry yet oily at the same time..)...these high-end products have been helping to keep my hair pretty calm.
Is there really a difference in high-end shampoo and shampoos like pantine pro-v or suave?

Whats the best/cheepest shampoo/conditioning product that you've ever used?

There is a huge difference. The high end products use good quality ingredients, while the cheaper ones obviously use cheaper ingredients, and fillers like wax that makes your hair appear to be healthy because it's shiny, but it's only because the wax has coated your hair.

The salon products are a ding to your wallet at first, but you don't need as much each use and they will last longer and you will save the health of your hair and money in the long run.

There are reasonably priced salon brands, just do some research on who sells it the cheapest. Good semi- expensive brands: RUSK, Bain de Terre.

The difference between shampoo & conditioner is that shampoo cleans, adds volume and all that while conditioner makes your hair softer and prevents tangles.

I think the cheapest shampoo/conditioner product is Pantene.

It really works and makes your hair shiny, smooth, and silky. When buying Pantene, look for the one that it best for you hair type. Most of them are 2 in 1 meaning it has shampoo and conditioner.

Good luck !

I use to use shampoos and conditioner that where 12 dollars and up.Until I got married and had kids.I use L'oreale and there good for my hair, and there only 3-5 dollars.I learned that the only good thing about the pricey ones I was using is that they smelled very good, but they were not really doing much for my hair,so try something like Pantine or Aussie, which is good and it smells good to.

Shampoo is used to bathe your hair and get the oil and airborne dirt and dirt out. Conditioner is used to melt your hair and supply it capability and moisture, and much less knots, greater handy to regulate. you need to use shampoo first, then concern. Any particular, you need to apply in simple terms shampoo, besides the undeniable fact that that's larger to apply the two. wish this facilitates! =]

I have noticed a difference in volumizing shampoos - the salon brands work better. It doesn't sound like you need volumizing, though.

Otherwise, the only difference is price. Try a few brands, and see if any of them work for you. Won't cost much!
