I really am at the end of my rope here in regards to my hair. Here's the problem:

I have naturally very curly hair, not long loose pretty ringlets, but tight ugly hair. Also, my hair is not course or thick, the pieces of hair themselves are actually very fine, and being so, super-susceptible to damage.

I have worn my hair curly in the past in ways that it is not frizzy, but I still can't get over the fact I hate the way it looks.

All I want is straight, long hair. However, I always end up having to cut inches off once it gets passed my shoulders as it becomes too damaged. I use a solia hair iron, chi heat protector, and biosilk, along with dove damage control, and it is still fried.

Can somebody please tell me what I can do to have long straight hair and prevent the damage, but not have to wear it curly. I hate how the pretty hair everyone else seems to have so easily seems almost unattainable for me. Somebody help!

1. Use a shampoo/ conditioner that is formulated for curly, coarse or damaged hair. While your hair is not coarse, shampoos formulated for coarse hair will help soften it and make the straightening process easier.

2. Comb your hair straight with a wide tooth comb while it's still wet.

3. After you get of the shower, apply a blowdrying/straightening cream. I'm partial to John Frieda's FrizzEase Relax Wind Down

4. Blowdry your hair with a comb attachment in sections. I use a blowdryer with a rounded rectangular nozzle as opposed to the round circular nozzle because it covers more area.

5. After blowdrying straight (should take no more than 30 minutes), flat iron in small sections.

** Note: If you flat iron curly hair every day, it will be damaged no matter what. Work on prolonging your blowout by not washing your hair every single day. It's fairly common and won't result in some crazy greasy mess. Dry shampoo helps too.

commence employing greater proper products. Use the Wen cleansing conditioner. in case you would be unable to discover the money for it, commence employing a sulfate-loose shampoo as a results of fact this could be much less drying on your hair. Use a daily depart-in that provides your hair moisture. the products you utilize can a million) make your hair dryer, 2) make it very frizzy, and 3) make it no longer ordinary. in the experience that your shampoo and conditioner and depart-in are not making your hair delicate and moisturized then commence finding for brand spanking new products till you stumble on something that works on your hair. do no longer shampoo too many times the two; curly hair is dryer than different hair types so we want moisture in our hair and incessant shampooing will strip that moisture away. commence conditioning your hair greater advantageous than shampooing. in case you shampoo three times a week then use conditioner 5-7 circumstances a week; use conditioner without the shampoo. this might help get some moisture on your hair. you additionally can depart slightly of conditioner on your hair for further moisture.

Use a lot of conditioner and moisturizer on your hair if you want to continue straightening your hair all the time. It's really hard to avoid damage when you're using so much heat on it.

The easiest way would be to get it chemically straightened, then you wouldn't have to spend so much time on it. There are lots of great salons that do it and your hair is not frizzy or dry.
